Think about this:

Your audience doesn’t care how long it takes you to escape (if you are using a time limit they know you will wait till the last few seconds available to make your escape)…they are only interested if you make the escape at all. If you are using your own restraints (and there are only a few performers in the world who can rely on challenge restraints every night, if that) then your audience knows from the start that you are obviously going to get out.

So, what is the point?
